The House of October is the creation and manifestation of R. JoAnn Branner. October is my birth month and the start of my new year, I've had many good fortunes occur for me within October! The House has a few rooms now - Ministry of Marriage was my first room I built by becoming an Ordained Minister in February 2018.  The second room built was in  June 2018 to continue my education with the skill set to maintain the first room with by receiving my PhD  Philosophy in Metaphysical Humanistic Science, Specializing in Holistic Life Coaching, and creating a non profit organization to serve in my community in November of 2018. I've always worked in a industry that served others and to help others is a passion that has grounded me Spiritually. This passion has lead me to work with other non profit organizations such as Financial Unity in the Community (Angela Sayles Cleveland Ohio) as a member of their F.U.S.S teas as the HR Coordinator; the 20 year reunion committee Cleveland Chapter for the Million Woman March in October 2017 under the guidance of Sis. Empress Dr. Phile’ Chionesu (Philadelphia PA); from this association we created a Brown Girl Beauty program for young girls in the City of Cleveland which introduced them Melanin and its definition and why others want to emulate our beautiful colors, Self Care, Communication, and Healthy Eating.

Participating in the Million Women March reunion gave me clarity in October so deeply that my Third Eye began to open and I was seeing the world very differently. So I started my Spiritual journey to get prepared for the coming years. I kept my family and friends closer than ever because I sensed that something big was coming. My employment was always steady but you never know anything could happened and it did. My department was notified that at the end of 2018 that in 1-2 years we would be outsourced.  I fell ill in December of 2018 and was on sick leave for nearly 6 months and was able to return and finish out the term of employment. I worked for the No. 1 food manufacturer in the USA for 16 years, I survived Covid19, and retired in August of 2021. 

Retirement was a blessing, I enrolled in Beauty School as of February 2022 to get my License as an Esthetician and completed my 600 state of Ohio required hours 3 weeks early.  I never missed a day of class and loved what I was learning. Opportunities and doors keep opening for me, I have been blessed to be able to create The House of October Esthetic Services, I have my own Suite and located in the Waterstone Medical Building located at 14100 Cedar Rd, University Hts, Ohio and my services are open to the public!

In 2024 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer which was caught in the early stage and was treated right away. Instead of seeing this as a curse I saw it as a blessing and sought out to further my education regarding cancer and skincare. I researched online for Oncology skincare training and found Oncology Spa Solutions who offered online training to learn how to service individuals undergoing cancer treatments before, during and after their treatment. With my diagnosis I saw an opportunity to give back to others in a similar situation as mine and through training and additional knowledge for Oncology skincare I can now service others in need of a gentle touch and pampering.

All of what I've been able to create and share with others is from the heart and its my destiny to leave a legacy by paying it forward to others. Offering services and treatments to others  so they can see their beauty inside and out. My mission is to help others help themselves by providing Life Coaching for Life Lessons, be it work related or personal one on one.
